1. Introduction

Welcome to One Minute of Fame. This privacy policy explains how High5 Loyalty B.V. (hereinafter "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use our mobile application One Minute of Fame.

We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy legislation.

2. What Data Do We Collect?

Important: We do NOT collect any direct personal data such as your name, email address, phone number or other identifiable information. The app works completely anonymously.

2.1 Spotify Integration (Optional)

When you choose to use Spotify:

  • Spotify authentication: Is stored locally on your device, we do NOT store this on our servers
  • Music playback: Occurs directly between your device and Spotify

Please note: You can also use the app without a Spotify account. Spotify integration is completely optional.

2.2 Anonymized Analytics via Third Parties

We use external services that automatically collect technical data:

  • Microsoft Clarity: Collects anonymized usage statistics (how the app is used, which screens are visited)
  • Sentry: Collects technical error information when the app crashes (device type, OS version, error messages)

These services may automatically collect information such as IP addresses, device type and app version. We have no control over this data and cannot identify individual users.

2.3 Game Data

  • QR codes: We manage QR codes and the music categories linked to them in our backend
  • No user data: We do NOT store who scanned which QR code or what scores users achieve
  • Local storage: Game progress is only stored locally on your device

3. How Does the App Work?

Because we do not collect personal data, the app works completely anonymously:

3.1 App Functionality

  • Scanning QR codes: Connects you to a music game without requiring you to create an account
  • Playing music: Via Spotify (optional) or built-in clips
  • Game progress: Is stored locally on your device, not on our servers

3.2 App Improvement

Via Microsoft Clarity and Sentry we collect anonymized data to:

  • Understand how the app is used (which features are popular)
  • Detect technical problems and crashes
  • Optimize app performance

Please note: This data is completely anonymized and cannot be traced back to you as an individual.

4. Legal Basis

Because we do not process direct personal data, we do not need a legal basis for data processing. The anonymized analytics via third parties (Clarity and Sentry) fall under:

  • Legitimate interest: For improving the app and solving technical problems

For using Spotify, you give consent directly to Spotify via their OAuth system. We do not receive or process this data.

5. Data Storage

Because we do not store personal data, there is little to retain:

  • Spotify tokens: Are only stored locally on your device and automatically deleted when you remove the app
  • Game progress: Is only stored locally on your device
  • QR code content: We manage which songs belong to which QR codes, but do not store who scanned them
  • Analytics (Clarity/Sentry): These third parties retain anonymized data according to their own policies

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is automatically removed from your device.

6. Third Parties

We do not share personal data with third parties, because we do not collect it. The app does use external services:

6.1 Spotify (Optional)

If you choose to use Spotify (not mandatory):

  • Purpose: Playing music via your Spotify account
  • Authentication: Directly between your device and Spotify, we do not store this
  • Requirement: Spotify Premium account

6.2 Microsoft Clarity

6.3 Sentry

  • Purpose: Error reporting and monitoring
  • Data: Technical error information, device data
  • Basis: Legitimate interest

Important note: We do not have access to the data that these third parties collect. For questions about their data collection, we refer you to their privacy policies.

7. International Data Transfer

Because we do not collect personal data, we do not transfer data ourselves. The third parties we use (Microsoft Clarity and Sentry) may process anonymized data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

These parties have implemented their own safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For more information, we refer you to their privacy policies (see section 6).

8. Security

Although we do not store personal data, we do take security measures:

  • Encrypted connections: All communication with our servers is via HTTPS/TLS
  • Local security: If you use Spotify, tokens are securely stored via Expo SecureStore on your device
  • Backend security: Our content management systems are secured with access controls

9. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data, many GDPR rights do not apply:

9.1 What You CAN Do

  • Delete the app: All locally stored data (including Spotify tokens and game progress) will be automatically deleted
  • Disconnect Spotify: You can remove your Spotify connection within the app
  • Contact us: For privacy questions, you can email info@high5loyalty.com

9.2 What is NOT Possible

Because we do not store personal data, we cannot:

  • Provide access to personal data (we do not have it)
  • Correct or delete data (we do not have user profiles)
  • Transfer data to other services (there is no personal data)

10. Children and Privacy

One Minute of Fame is a general entertainment app without age restrictions. We do not collect direct personal data such as names or email addresses from users.

The only data we collect is anonymized usage statistics via Microsoft Clarity and technical error reports via Sentry, in accordance with their privacy policies.

11. Cookies and Tracking

Our app does not use traditional cookies like websites, but does use:

  • Local storage: For storing settings and session data on your device
  • Analytical trackers: Via Microsoft Clarity for usage analysis
  • Crash reporting: Via Sentry for error detection

You can manage app permissions via your device settings.

12. External Links

Our app may contain links to external websites or services (such as Spotify). This privacy policy does not apply to these external parties. We recommend reading the privacy policies of these services.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements or app functionality.

For significant changes, we will display a notification in the app. You can consult the version history at the bottom of this page to see when this privacy policy was last updated.
